CONN 36A CORNET CONCERT GRAND 1941 T-RIFIC PLAYER ORIG CASE .468 BORE. These Cornets are most certainly modeled after the venerable King Master model. I like the king Cornet fori it's easy slotting , but I far prefer the sound of theConn 36a to the king. It has a much bigger fatter tone. This may be my favorite Conn Cornet. This Cornet is an absolutely fantastic condition beside one thing which is some strange dents on the bottom tuning slide. I was going to take it to a shop just to have some downfalls run through it what should do it for about 30 bucks but I just don't have the time. This has no affect on its beautiful broad sound. I think this Cornet would be worth much more if it wasn't for that issue with the small dents in the tuning slide because it does not show much wear. It comes in the original case which is quite decent and if you need an old con mouthpiece I'm sure I have one that I can add but only if you let me know at the end of the auction. This Cornet was made right before World War II I believe one of their best periods. It has the micro tuner tuning slide and of course the Clickless Crysteel valves. The valves have absolutely no loss of compression and are super fast and smooth. It is very easy to hold and has a large throaty taper to the bell which adds to its big round sound. I will make sure it gets a mild warm bath with dawn dish soap and the proper cleaning tools polished and put together ready to play when you get it make it yours today. This instrument is in beautiful satin and polished silver and it has a gold Wash Bell. It will arrive clean polished and ready to play?
